This Facebook Campaign opened my eyes to the various opportunities that are available to explore when creating a page such as mine. I wanted to make a page to inform people in our community here in saint george of events occuring around them. I noticed that when I posted videos, I received about 2x as many likes as a normal post.

If I were to go back and change anything, I would start by uploading more videos and interviewed people around town to get people more engaged and excited. I noticed that when people had live or in person feeling videos to relate to, I received more likes. What I noticed with similar pages is that the more goofy or non-serious that posts and videos were the more love they got.

Since the start of the campaign I noticed that the more engaged and attentive I was, the more followers and love I received. At the beginning I was having my friends liking and staying up to date with everything going on in town, but they soon became uninterested with anything extra to do. I also noticed that when I started sharing post to my personal account, I reached a lot farther of an audience. When my friends started sharing, I also noticed an upswing of likes and reach. With similar pages, I saw that when they posted funny, goofy or non-serious posts that they also started gaining more likes.

Overall I am very pleased with this assignment. I was excited to jump in and get my feet wet with this idea relating to marketing or branding. I also learned alot of what goes on in the minds of social media users, their likes and dislikes ect. I am excited to continue this page and stay up-to-date with current things going on in our community.
